Summary: In countries where idolatry and multiple gods are prevalent, it is important to proclaim that our God is good. There are gods that demand offerings and sacrifices for favors, but the God of the Bible is loving and kind. Jesus Christ is the ultimate manifestation of God's goodness, and we should reflect that goodness in our own lives. As Christians, we must clothe ourselves with goodness and show kindness and love to others. There is no God like our God.

Although it may seem like a subject whose content is obvious to most Christians, it is necessary that we not stop proclaiming that our God is goodness. In Cuba - as surely in other countries -, where idolatry rises “up to the neck” and a thousand and one gods fight for the supremacy of the religiosity they represent, to proclaim that the God revealed in the Sacred Scriptures is kind is very important. < ! - break ->

Can there be a god who is not? Well yes, of course there are. Through these lands, angry, vengeful, spiteful, suspicious "gods" circulate. Along with worship, some “ask” for money, others for special sacrificial meals, and almost all delight in the orgiastic and lascivious dances that their faithful consecrate. They are gods designed for barter and business. If the god in question "grants" any request, he is given worship and everything that the officiating chief suggests that he may like; If it does not respond to the pleas of its faithful, they usually fight with their gods for an indefinite time or, in the worst case, they dedicate themselves to doubling or tripling the offerings of all kinds until the requests are answered.

How different is the God of the Bible! The God who sent rain to his people after a heartfelt prayer from his prophet Elijah after 3 years of drought. The God who comforted and loved David after he repented of his sins, the incarnate God who even knowing that Peter would deny him three times did not deny him his love, the Christ who blots out sin forever when man turns to Him, That is goodness! Even in acts of divine discipline and parental rebuke, the Lord shows his goodness. How much goodness did the Lord pour out in His creation for His glory?

The glorious manifestation of God's goodness towards man is Jesus Christ. In Him, God has given us salvation without deserving it. My God is good, sovereignly good. “… We were by nature objects of God's wrath. But God, who is rich in mercy, out of his great love for us, gave us life with Christ, even when we were dead in sins. ”(Eph 2.3-5). Hallelujah!

Can there be a greater gesture of kindness to the Lord who promises to show us the superabundant riches of his grace in Christ Jesus in the centuries to come? (Eph 2.7).

Since Christ is goodness, the Christian must clothe himself with goodness, manifest his love and kindness. David praised the Lord singing “… You also gave me the shield of your salvation; Your right hand sustained me, And Your gentleness has made me great. (Ps 18.35). There is no God like our God!

God bless you!
