Summary: God's immutability brings hope and security to the believer. In a world of uncertainty and doubt, the unchanging nature and attributes of God give us peace and joy. We should not doubt that Christ is the head of all power and authority, including the devil. Knowing that God is faithful, merciful, powerful, and holy, we can repent and trust in His unchanging love. The immutability of God is also a warning to imitate His holiness and an opportunity for the lost to know Him through faith.

God brightens the heart of the believer with the fire and passion of his love through trials. He will never break his word and his promises. His word will not pass and his promises will be kept. The Christian of faith can rest in the assurance that God is never outside the life of his children, no matter the time or the circumstances. The man of God survives, because he lives to despite time and difficulties. From the cross we have the opportunity to envision our eternal destiny and live preparing ourselves for the reunion on the Lord's day. Our guarantee is the immutability of God, the certainty that Jesus is the same as yesterday and that his mercies reach us and allow us to see his greatness, his fidelity, his eternal love. "With an everlasting love I have loved you" (Jeremiah 31: 3). His authority is full.

We live in constant anxiety about what tomorrow will bring. In a world so changing and insecure due to the sin of man and the inconsistency of those who govern (for which we must also pray), the lord of darkness intervenes from time to time in Christian territory trying to snatch a piece of the conquered Kingdom from us. The culture of uncertainty and doubt has become part of the devil's handbook and recipe book for weak souls, for decayed Christians. Paul said to the Colossians: All the fullness of the Godhead dwells in bodily form in Christ; and in him, who is the head of all power and authority, you have received that fullness. (Col 2.10)

This is a great truth. Christ is the head of all power and authority and this includes the devil, the powers, and it has been that way forever. He does not change, he does not alter his nature, he does not dress in camouflage, he does not compromise with sin, but he does not stop longing for the embrace of the repentant sinner. He is always God. But you, Lord, reign eternally; your name endures through all generations ”(Ps 102.12). We must not doubt it for a single moment: Christ will reign eternally and this encourages us not to allow ourselves to be condemned by someone who lost the fight “by no-show” in the Celestial Championship of Love held 2000 years ago on the field of Calvary. Just as the nature and attributes of Christ are unchangeable and will be forever and ever, we unwittingly play the lies of this world.

His faithfulness, mercy, power, and holiness are unshakable. Knowing that God is immutable makes the path easier, channels doubts towards the Christian's security, which brings spiritual peace, joy of the heart and makes it feel as if faith is growing wings. The immutability of God reveals a hopeful theological perspective, a transformative spiritual dimension that refreshes us, that leads us to the recognition of sin before God, to sincere repentance, without fear of any condemnation. In Christ, the eternal God who does not change, the condemnation that corresponded to us for our rebellions, was resolved in the victory of the cross. But we must be faithful!

The Lord will always be the same, He is the God for all ages and times, Nothing in Him is corrupted! He is the same and has promised to be with us without changing his perspective as creator and sustainer of the crown of his creation. Through the prophet Isaiah the Lord's promise of immutability encourages us and beautifies our faith: “Even in old age, when they comb gray hair, I will be the same, I will sustain them. I made them, and I will take care of you; I will sustain them and deliver them ”(Is 46.4) - Underlined by the author-

Why then do we change? If we have the authority of Christ over all authority and power, if we frequently declare that we are clothed and clean by his blood, why do we walk as if this is not true? Why do we fluctuate and doubt if we have such a great God, who does not change or modify his promises? The immutability of God is also a warning, a permanent reminder that He is holy and that His children should imitate Him. The fact that He does not change is also the opportunity that the lost man has to definitively approach Him and know Him through faith. And it is also a blessing for those of us who live for Him.

God bless you!
