My God is a God of covenants

Summary: Soap operas in Cuba, mostly Brazilian, promote immoral behavior such as homosexuality, adultery, and fornication. This is a tactic of Satan to disguise evil as light. We should not sublimate what we see on TV and instead remember that marriage is an institution created by God. We should not defend sexual preferences that go against God's teachings. Television itself is not created by Satan, but its use can be corrupted by man. It is our personal relationship with God that will guide us to use things for His glory. We must be attentive to what role God has assigned us in His covenant.

In Cuba, soap operas have been all the rage, most of them are Brazilian. Women, especially, although many men have been added to this disease, spend long hours in front of the television, watching on a screen the same things that we have to suffer daily.

Homosexualism, lesbianism, adultery, fornication and many other forms of evil are exhibited in such a way that to the human being, handicapped in spirit, they come to seem sublime.

That is the objective "And it is no wonder, because Satan himself disguises himself as an angel of light" 2 Corinthians 11.14. We sublimate what we see, we enjoy seeing how a woman is abandoned by another and "live happily ever after" as we were led to believe in fairy tales, without teaching us that marriage is an institution created by God, a difficult school where few get A's and that we must love with the purpose of dying next to the person we chose in our youth as God tells us in Proverbs 5.18.

But even more, we sometimes defend the right, not given by God (Lev 18.22 and 20:13), for a person to choose their own sex as sexual preference, why? Because we let ourselves be carried away by our emotions manipulated by the TV soaps.

We constantly listen to idolize during each chapter and we find it very spiritual, some expressions I have heard such as: -They are very religious. How good that we are not religious, we have a Christ-centered lifestyle so that we can honor the one who said: “I will destroy your high places, and I will tear down your images, and I will put your dead bodies on the dead bodies of your idols, and my soul it will abhor you ”Leviticus 26.30

And I wonder: Isn't that a sin? Or is it that the fact that they show it to us on the screen makes the matter less serious?

No one thinks that I never fell into that trap, but one grows as the relationship with God grows stronger and one learns that what does not build, destroys. There are no middle terms, there are no half-sins, there are no selective Pacts, the Pact is total, with eyes, ears, touch, taste and even smell! 2 Corinthians 11.

Our whole body enters into the Pact with God, because He pacts with all his Spirit and signs with his blood, it is an indestructible Pact.

Brothers, I have heard it said on occasions that television was created by Satan, Lies !, nothing has been created by Satan, everything created is divine, God has given man intelligence to create, it is man himself who converts things into something satanic when he corrupts the created by using it for a purpose that does not glorify the giver of life.

If we think about it, the atom and the neutron were not created by man, but when man discovered their potential, he used it to kill and destroy. The absence and ignoring of God in our lives only bring calamity and destruction.

But everything is a personal relationship with God, in my case, He lifted me from the armchair in my living room, where my television rests half forgotten, to sit down to write and in this way be able to bless other lives.

“Now then, if you give ear to my voice and keep my covenant, you will be my special treasure over all peoples; because the whole earth is mine ”. Exodus 19.5 It is up to us to be attentive when God shows us what role he has assigned us in this Covenant.
