Summary: As humans, we struggle with patience and waiting for God's timing. We often try to intervene in His plans, but it is important to learn to wait on Him. We can find hope in our suffering and affliction by turning to the Lord and putting our hope in His word. Isaiah reminds us that those who put their hope in the Lord will renew their strength. Our true hope is found in Christ, who is the hope of glory. Let us remove the worldly things we put our hope in and give Him the glory He deserves.

By nature we are impatient; we don't know how to wait. God, benefactor of all gifts and blessings to his children, knows that waiting is not our strong suit, he knows that sometimes we despair, that we rush trying to guess God's timing. Our sense of chronology often strays from God's paths. His time never seems to come and in despair we dispose our hearts to intervene in his plans and do "our part" in it. affair.

The world continues to seek rest in the security of unconvincing puppet words. Each time the destinies of people and nations are promoted from the disgusting bedrooms of buffoonery. There is a penchant for puppetry; It seems easier to the world to live off the soothsayers, astrologers and charmers of cheap politicking, than to seek rest by sharing the yoke with our Lord. "... because my yoke is easy and my burden is light" (Mt 11.30). Learning to wait on Him will always be a challenge. No one has said that it is easy.

David's words denote confidence, but also the spirit of patience built on suffering and on the Lord's lessons learned from his sinful experiences: “I wait for the Lord, I wait for him with all my soul; I have put my hope in his word. (Ps 130.5). If we are aware of our faults before God, there will be no remedy for the downcast soul other than the search for the Lord; his word will bring comfort and deliverance. There is hope in our humiliation, there is hope in all affliction, there is hope when the world turns its back on you and it seems that there is no way out of the situation. There is hope in your cry

Isaiah lived long enough to see and suffer the rebellion and sin of his people during four reigns in Judah, and he never stopped crying out to God: “Lord, have mercy on us; Well, we hope in you. Be our strength each morning, our salvation in time of trouble. (Is 33.2) - Emphasis of the author-.

Isaiah also has left us a word that refreshes the most hopeless heart: “But those who have their hope set on the Lord will renew their strength. Wings will grow like eagles; they will run without being weary, they will walk without being weary ”(Isaiah 40.31)

Who have you put your hope in? In your job? Don't forget that God is the one who sustains you! In your intelligence? Remember that God shattered the wisdom of this world! In personal success and achievements? Do not lose the perspective of the Cross of Calvary!

When Christ installs himself in the human heart, hope sprouts, the true one, the one that is renewed and grows, the one that turns sadness into joy and affirms our walk as if we were walking on an unshakable rock that does not break, which is enough. “These trust their chariots, those trust their steeds, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God” (Psalm 20.7) The nations put their hope “in their chariots and in their horses”, symbols of might and power. human strengths, but you and I know in whom we have believed, in whom we have placed all hope.

What is the hope? Encouraging the Colossians, Paul reminded them that the gospel was hope (Col 1:23) and added: To these - to us - God purposed to make known what is the glorious richness of this mystery among the nations, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. (Col 1.27). The apostle Peter exhorts God's people to be prepared to respond to anyone who asks for a reason for the hope in which we dwell (1 P 3.15).

It will happen. Sooner or later Like every promise, it will be fulfilled in its time and in His time. All nations will bow down to the only hope that is Christ, because God has purposed to make him known to every creature. And we who have already known this mystery through the mercies of God, let us live this hope by removing the chariots and horses from our lives and giving it the glory that only He deserves. God bless you! (Suggested reading: Psalm 130)
