Summary: In Las Vegas, desperate gamblers have been known to take their own lives due to their losses, but as Children of God, we are grateful that our father provides for us and fills our hearts with love, comfort, hope, and security. His abundance in our lives is not based on material possessions, but on his unchanging faithfulness. It is our responsibility to be good stewards of his inheritance and to multiply it for the benefit of others. Our God will never abandon us and his words constantly remind us to be courageous and not afraid, for he is always with us.

I have been reading that in Las Vegas the so-called 'Gambling City', hotel managers have had to make the decision to close the windows so that they cannot be opened, because many people, desperate for gambling losses, choose for taking his own life. Poor beings who have nothing else to hold on to when the test comes! For many of them this is the result of a corrupt life.

The Children of God give thanks because our father is the owner of gold and silver, but much more, he is perfect and he does not abandon us, he does not allow our descendants to beg (Ps 37.25), his warehouses are always full of food for all who come needy, its springs gush and keep our souls hydrated (John 6.35). Nothing earthly compares to him when it comes to filling the hearts of his children, he fills us with his love, his comfort, his hope and his security.

Our God gives our life the assurance that we will never be alone, the certainty that even if everyone in this world turns their back on us, He will always be by our side and this is not mediated by money or other material possession, He loves us naked and helpless (Ps 102.17), hungry, thirsty and dirty (Isa 49.10), because it is precisely in that state that we devour all that He gives us and we begin to feel full of his fullness.

He gives abundance to our life in Christ Jesus, he transfers his riches to us in Glory (Phil 4.19), we inherit all his possessions by testament (1 Peter 1.4).

Being good stewards of this unchanging inheritance is our obligation. Our mandate is for it to prosper and multiply so that others may be blessed through the abundance He pours out from heaven.

My God does not diminish his measure, my God does not abandon, His fidelity makes any action of ours to equalize it pale. Eternally his words are heard saying to his children: “Strive and take courage; do not be afraid or be afraid of them, for Jehovah your God is the one who goes with you; he will not leave you, nor forsake you ”Deuteronomy 31.6
