Summary: The apostle Paul argues in Romans 1:18 onwards that homosexuality is not a human right or acceptable behavior by God, but rather a consequence of God's wrath on those who resist His Will. Nature itself speaks of a God who has decreed sexual relations between a man and a woman, and even the anatomy of men and women is complementary for sexual relations between them. Homosexual behavior is against nature and God's design, and any impartial observer would conclude that sexual relations are meant to be between a man and a woman. Paul also argues that God has used homosexuality as a way to judge those who exchange His glory for an inferior glory.

The apostle Paul is saying that far from being a human right or an acceptable behavior by God, homosexuality is rather the consequence or the manifestation of God's wrath on a humanity or on a sector of human beings that has stubbornly resisted His Will and try to ignore what God says precisely about what behavior He wants men and women to follow in the sexual area and in the area of marriage.

So Paul tells us in Romans 1:18 onwards that there are people who have been determined to obscure and hinder what God has declared in nature itself. The first argument that we as Christians have to offer against homosexual behavior is that nature itself is clear regarding what God wants concerning the sexual behavior of human beings, indeed the animals themselves are clearly structured in terms of a male or a female and in the animal world animals behave in a heterosexual, non-homosexual manner.

Reproduction generally in exceptional cases such as amoebae and microbes and all this kind of thing because it does not apply there, but in terms of mammals and animals that have a defined sexuality, the relationship is always between a male and a female, the nature itself speaks about this.

Even in the universe itself there are like masculine energies and feminine energies. For example, people talk about the sun and the moon, still writing to the stars a type of masculine and feminine quality, not that these elements have a sexuality but in all nature there is this idea of a masculine force and a feminine force. .

So Paul says that if men viewed nature neutrally they would realize that nature itself speaks of a God who has clearly decreed that sexual relations take place between a man and a woman.

Certainly in the same physiology of man and woman the sexual organs are made in a complementary way so that sexual relations take place between a man and a woman, the anatomy itself speaks about this and that is why the Church has traditionally spoken about of homosexual behavior as something that is against nature, that is, as something is against the design of nature itself.

And that is why the apostle Paul talks about how these men who have been obstinate in resisting the Will of God left the natural use of women in the case of men and women and also says that even their women changed the natural use for the which is against nature.

God has a purpose, God has a preference in how men and women should govern their sexuality and it certainly does not conform to homosexual behavior so the first line of the apostle Paul's argument is that when men insist on trying to justify the homosexuality are going against what is evident in nature and Paul says this is obvious. If someone says otherwise what he is doing is trying to hide the sun with a finger, he is trying to resist all the evidence that God has left scattered in the natural world and therefore Paul says: there is no excuse whatsoever. Any impartial observer when seeing the way in which nature manages sexual energy will have to conclude that the world has been designed so that the male unites with the female in a sexual relationship for the reproduction of, for example, other beings, be they animals, be they humans.

Today we know that a man cannot reproduce by joining another man, a woman cannot reproduce by joining another woman because that is how human anatomy is designed, that is how human and animal biology is designed, and therefore try to argue that the Nature suggests otherwise it is an act of intellectual dishonesty rather. It is the first argument that Paul offers.

But then he will make another argument that is even more important and it is the argument of how God Himself has used homosexual behavior as a way to judge men who have insisted on exchanging His glory for an inferior glory and that we will study in our next message. May the Lord bless you and until our next message.
