It is worth living wisely

Summary: The author desires to be divinely taught in order to understand themselves, God, and their Savior. They want to live a wise life and be a soul winner, converting many to Christ. This is a more glorious achievement than earning stars in court and will make them shine forever like many stars. They ask the Lord to give them life.

Here's something that should wake me up. This is worth living for. Being understood is something noble in itself: in this place it refers to a divine understanding that only the Lord Himself can bestow. Oh, to know myself, and my God and my Savior! May he be divinely taught in such a way that he can put heavenly truth into practice and live in light of it! Do I live a wise life? Am I looking for what to look for? Do I live as I would have liked to live at the time of my death? Only such wisdom can guarantee me an eternal radiance like those sunlit skies.

Being a soul winner is a glorious achievement. I need to be wise if I have to bring someone to justice; much more still if I have to carry many. Oh, I must have the knowledge of God, of men, of the Word and of Christ, which will enable me to convert my fellow men, and convert a great number of them! I want to give myself to this, and never rest until I have achieved it. This will be better than earning stars in court. This will make me a star, a shining star, a star that shines forever and ever; yes, more than that, it will make me shine like many stars. My soul, wake up! Lord, give me life!
