Summary: Testing is an essential part of our spiritual growth, and we will face trials on this earth until we are fit for the kingdom of God. We must approach trials with the correct attitude, always clinging to Christ. Denial, rebellion, discouragement, blurring, and superficial optimism are not typical of a child of God. Our eyes should always be on the promise and not on the here and now. Trials are not curses but blessings in the life of a Christian because they bring us closer to the heart of God.

The subject of testing is endless. Especially because of the impact they cause on the lives of human beings. The word of God does not tell us "In case you are in tests", but assumes that we will be in them and emphasizes that they are diverse.

In our lives there are always storms in formation, when it does not happen in this way, we must reflect on our spiritual life, because when we turn away from God, Satan does not take care of us, because, in fact, we are already serving him.

Testing is essential for our spiritual growth. On this earth and in this body of death, we will pass test after test, until we are approved and fit for the kingdom of God.

Our lord accepted the test only to give us life in abundance.

We must assume the trials with the correct attitude, always clinging to Christ, "who being in the form of God, did not consider being equal to God as something to cling to, but emptied himself, took the form of a servant and he became like men. Moreover, being in the condition of man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, and death on a cross ”Philippians 2.6-8. For this reason, we believe in the God who gives his life to raise us from the dust and turn our miserable lives into something of value.

We never think that others have their own dramas, we always magnify ours, the difference is that some tell their affairs to other men and others tell only to God.

Let's look at some ways to face trials that are not typical of a child of God

  1. Denial : “I don't deserve this” Why me? And we have forgotten that the word tells us: "because the Lord disciplines those he loves and scourges everyone he receives as a son" He 12.4-6

  2. Rebellion : We do not want to accept discipline, we distance ourselves and we begin to have a whole series of behaviors that make our displeasure evident.

  3. Discouragement : Instead of learning from experience and growing as Christians, every day the branch that we are detaches more from the trunk and begins to dry up.

  4. Blur, or blunder : When we blur, we begin to make decisions that sink us further. We begin to travel other paths that take us completely away from our Father, we sometimes reach debauchery, which leads us to

  5. Superficial optimism : Every trial carries with it a burden of suffering and pain, otherwise it is not proof. We are cynical when we tell someone to laugh in the midst of trial, we must share the pain with those who are suffering. The joy referred to in the Bible is the certainty of knowing that He is always at the helm and that whatever happens on that trip, the final destination is a blessing, although at the moment we are living it we cannot understand it.

Our eyes should always be on the promise and not on the here and now. We should not focus on seeing the test, but reflect on what God's purpose is with them.

Christ asked the apostles to watch with Him, but when they did not, God sent an angel to comfort and strengthen him. This is the same as God does to us when we are in trial.

In All the tests our patience is exercised and let's see if this fruit of the Spirit is important. Because of Abraham's impatience, 2 nations arose and to this day the newspaper headlines talk about them. Conflicts between Jews and Muslims claim multiple lives daily, lives given by God and corrupted by man

Trials are not curses, let's not see them in this way, rather they are blessings in the life of a Christian because they bring us closer to the heart of God: “Therefore, we do not get discouraged. On the contrary, although on the outside we are wearing out, on the inside we are renewing ourselves day after day. For the light and ephemeral sufferings that we now suffer produce an eternal glory that is worth much more than all suffering. So we do not look at the visible but at the invisible, since what is seen is temporary, while what is not seen is eternal. 2 Co 4.16-18).
