Summary: A journalist interviews a wise man and asks what surprises him about humanity. The wise man responds, "That they are bored of being children and want to grow up fast, and then want to be children again." He also shares life lessons, such as the most valuable thing in life is not what we have but who we have, and that money can't buy happiness. These lessons can be found in the Bible and following Jesus' example can lead to a full life. The key to finding wisdom is through daily reading of the Word of God and cultivating a life of communion with the Lord.

A journalist interviewed a wise man and upon entering the room asked him: "What surprises you the most about humanity?" he replied: "That they are bored of be children and want to grow up fast, and then want to be children again. Let them waste health to make money and then lose money to regain health. Who long for the future and forget the present, and thus do not live neither the present nor the future. May they live as if they were never going to die and die as if they had never lived. "

The journalist was silent for a while and said: "What are the life lessons that people should learn?" And with a smile he replied: “Let them learn that they cannot make anyone love them but rather let themselves be loved. That the most valuable thing in life is not what we have but who we have. That a rich person is not who has more but who needs less, and that money can buy everything but happiness. The physical attracts, but personality falls."

These statements of the wise man make me wonder if he read the Bible where we find all the life lessons. It is true that in this time many live without purpose, confused and trying to satisfy personal needs that they can never reach. The only one who gives us wisdom to live a full life is Jesus. If we follow their example, there is no way we can go wrong. He told us to become like children to enter the kingdom of heaven, how good it is that we all wish to become like children, love God above all things and our neighbor as ourselves.

The wise man commented that the most valuable thing in life is not what we have but who we have and it is true if we have Christ as the center of our life, we really have everything; If we allow him to guide our lives to transform our character to the character of Christ, we will not only be attractive but also a blessing to those around us. The presence of Christ in our hearts gives us understanding to use our abilities and also to use our assets.

How do we find wisdom? In the daily reading of the Word of God. The Holy Spirit gives us insight into the Word, helps us maintain deep communion with our Heavenly Father, and be instruments for his grace to be manifested to others. By cultivating a life of communion with the Lord, we will have victory over every situation, but above all we will live fully.

Heavenly Father, help us to live lives that please You, cultivating communion with You so that Your peace and joy accompany us even in times of difficulty and we enjoy a victorious and full life that is a testimony of your power. We ask this in the name of Jesus.
