Summary: The creative role of Jesus goes beyond just the physical things in the world, but also includes the spiritual realm, including angelic beings and even demonic powers. All authority and power was created by Jesus Christ, and everything was created through Him and for His glory. This understanding invites us to worship the exalted Christ who is God himself and entrust our lives to Him.

The creative role of Jesus is not limited only to animals, plants, insects, human beings. Paul is saying something amazing and it is that the creative role of Jesus goes much further and that in reality Jesus Christ is the Creator not only of the things of this world that are on earth but is also the Creator of things visible and invisible. .

Colossians 1:16 says: "For in Him were created all things, both in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible; whether they be thrones or dominions or powers or authorities; everything has been created through Him and for Him . "

Now what does one think of immediately when he hears that expression "visible and invisible"? Of course he is talking about terrestrial beings that can be seen with the human eye, material and physical things, insects, plants, water, the sea, the sky, planets, galaxies, stars all these things, but Paul is saying in addition to that that the invisible things what are those invisible things? The spiritual beings, let's say the wonderful thing is that he says that the principalities, the powers, the thrones, the dominions. He is using spiritual language referring to angelic beings and incredibly demonic beings as well.

The principalities and powers that Paul speaks of in other passages, these authorities that are mysterious and that we do not know all the details about them. He is also referring to the evil powers that rule this world that Paul says are in the heavenly places when he speaks that our struggle is not against blood or flesh but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against heavenly hosts that rule creation evilly.

So it is interesting here that Paul is saying that the angels, the archangels, the cherubim, the seraphim, all the mysterious and spiritual beings that the Bible mentions, also those fallen beings that the Bible calls demons and that they are, even Satan himself, a being fallen that we originally believe was an exalted angel who created God and who rebelled against God, all these mysterious beings who have something to do with the government of creation and who exert influence.

I think it also refers to human authorities. Kings today would be corporations, human governments, nations, princes. All authority was created by Jesus Christ. That's why we understand what it says, right? when it says in Philippians chapter 2 that: "God gave him a name that is above every name so that before the name of Jesus every knee of what is in heaven, on earth and under the earth will bow" that is to say the angels, cherubim and seraphim, also kings, governments, all people who have authority on Earth, the laws of nature and also what is under the earth in hell, demonic powers. The name of Jesus is above all those different names and authorities, powers.

And the reason why it is so is because He is the Creator of all these things and by right then, and by lordship and because He is the owner of all these things then He has authority over them. Then we can understand the importance of Jesus and why we can then worship him. He did not hesitate to receive adoration although the Bible says that only God is worthy of being adored when Thomas kneels before Him and adores Him and says: my Lord and my God the Lord Jesus Christ does not correct Him because He is God and deserves that adoration.

It says that: "Everything was created through Him" that is, He was the instrument that God used, Jesus Christ is like the executive agent of the Father and was also created for Him, for His Glory, for His satisfaction, for His credit, the Creation exists to glorify Jesus Christ. This perhaps was not made so clear when He came into the world in the form of a servant, in the form of a humble man, simple to carry out certain tasks that the Father had entrusted to him but certainly later the Word clarifies for us the true importance, the greatness, the lordship of the Lord Jesus Christ and then invites us to worship the Lord and understand that by entrusting our lives to that exalted Christ who is God himself, Creator of the universe, we are entrusting ourselves to the hands of someone who is more than powerful as the Bible says keep it in deposit until the end of time.

We are safe in the hands of that Jesus who is also God. May the Lord bless you, I love you very much, Pastor Roberto Miranda speaks to you and we will continue our meditation in a moment. God bless you my brothers.
