Summary: The world tells us to focus on ourselves and our own success, but God tells us to trust in Him and surrender our lives to Him. The joy that comes from God is not based on our own efforts, but on what He has done in us. Christians may face challenges and persecution, but we must carry our cross and follow Jesus, submitting to His authority and will. God has a perfect plan for us, and we must trust Him and live for Him to experience His fruit in our lives. Seeking information about God is good, but seeking revelation and a personal relationship with Him is transformative. Let Christ be at the center of our plans and trust Him.
The world says: know yourself, love yourself first so that you are able to love others, take control of your life and do not let anything or anyone rule your emotions and your will and all this will lead you to success. God says: know me first, put your trust in my love, give me your life and I will put control over it and that will bring you joy.
The joy of the Lord is not a pleasant temporary experience based on what you have obtained with your efforts and your effort, but rather an incomprehensible state of mind for the mind and the heart based on what the Lord has done in you. Joy is the visible result of the fruit of the Spirit in the life of a Christian, it is the immaterial but clear envelope of a life surrendered at the foot of the Cross. It is looking to the future with hope and with the certainty that gives us faith in the plans that the Lord has for his children. In a world where the purposes of the natural man are based on what his ego and his "self" can achieve, God continues to draw the curtains of his grace so that we can enter with love the stage of his glory.
God has plans for His children and they are never, absolutely never, bad. The fact that unexpected situations occur that cause grief and grief should not make us lose hope in Christ that our future with Him will always be better. Man labels us according to our behavior in the past and our daily mistakes today, but God redeemed (freed us by paying a price -his life-) our being, erased our past forever and in the condition of a new creature gave us a gift. new and incomparable identity that will never be taken from us by anything or anyone. Even so, Christians are the most observed beings among unbelievers, the most singled out if we fail, the most reviled if we fail. That is a small portion of the cross that we must carry if we love the Lord as we proclaim with our lips. When the Lord invited the multitude (among them were the twelve apostles) to follow him, he said: "If anyone wants to come after me, deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me" (Mark 8:34)
This shocking declaration of Jesus means that following him presupposes a total submission to his authority, murdering our selfishness and letting it be his will and not ours, which sets the course for our future. Following Him is living Him. The plans that God has for you are infinitely better than the ones you can make. You only need to live Christ from the perspective of His grace.
As I grew in my knowledge of God, I searched the Bible for information that would help me understand his plan for mankind, myself included. I don't remember hearing God's voice answering my questions. When I intentionally began to seek his face and try to understand his love for the world, God revealed himself to me and the scripture gave me guidelines to understand his great love for this lost world and his wonderful plan to win it back. The search for information about God the Father and the incarnate Word, Jesus Christ, only informs you; revelation transforms you.
When Christ is enthroned in our life, the scenarios and situations that occur in it and the circumstances around us are experienced through the fruit of the Spirit. Our relationship with God will reflect the degree to which the fruit of the Spirit is in us. Dear brothers and sisters, let Christ be at the center of your plans. It is just a matter of faith. Waiting on Him is difficult (do you remember the song by Jesús Adrián Romero?), But sure. If you ever want to walk on water, or cross your own Jordan and reach the other shore with dry feet, trust him. His plan is perfect for you, don't hesitate.
God bless you
