Dwell in the light

When one dwells in the light of God one is at ease with God, one knows that one walks under His Will. Men can do whatever they want but we have an Almighty God who covers us and blesses us.

There is a passage in Scripture that we are children of light and not of darkness. Another passage also says that our weapons are not dark weapons but weapons of light. So the son of God dwells in light, dwells in truth, dwells in honesty, dwells in justice, dwells in transparency. The children of God do not have too many seams, we do not have too many compartments, we are simple people.

God's Word calls us to be like children. He calls us to be innocent, he says like doves, although he also talks about being wise like snakes, but there is a part of the child of God that is simple. The apostle James also says that the wisdom of God is like that, he says that it is simple, it is transparent and that is important. The children of God have to be simple people, luminous people, transparent people. That people see us and know what we are.

How sad it is when we see Christians who are opaque. One does not know if they are telling you the truth, they hide things, they do not speak the truth, they tell lies, they manipulate in marriage, in parenthood, in the Church, in their relationships with others, even in their ministries many times they always have a secret agenda and people don't know if they are being honest with them or if they are always looking for an ulterior motive at hand.

The children of God are children of light and we have to dwell in the light. Those who know us have to know us as honest people, people of their word. The Word says that: our yes be yes, our no be no. The reputation of a child of God has to be such that it does not have to be going to: I swear by this, I swear by the other. That is why the Lord says do not swear either by heaven or by earth, or by anything in this world, but rather that their yes be yes and that their no be no.

When you are a person of your word, of honesty, of transparency, you don't have to be there doing heroic acts for people to believe us because people know that we are people of your word and transparency. Our life is in our hands and people read us because we are open letters.

And I believe that in part that is what the Lord says here, right? He who dwells in light does not stumble, but he who dwells in darkness does stumble. When we do not walk in honesty, clarity, truth, when we are manipulative, we always want to get away with it, that's where we have problems. Let's be people of light. When you abide in the truth brother, sister you do not have to fear anyone. No one can harm you because God is going to support you, God is with you. People appreciate him, trust him. God will defend you from anyone who wants to harm you. When you make a mistake the Lord will be there to defend and help you, and get you out of trouble because your heart is clean.

Let us be people of light, let us live in the light, let us minister in the light. Let's make sure that our human, social relationships are always luminous, clear, transparent, authentic, honest relationships. We are children of the light, not of the darkness, and if we dwell in the light, no one can harm us.
