Summary: God's ways of responding to our prayers can often be complex and different from what we expect. However, there is always a purpose behind it, and we should trust in God's love and power. Sometimes what we consider a loss turns out to be a platform for an incredible blessing, and what we thought was the perfect job or person may not have been the best for us. We need to believe that God is sovereign and knows what is best for us, and His will is much better than ours. Martha, Mary, and Lazarus were vessels of glory for Jesus, and their story became one of the greatest miracles that the Lord did, displaying His glory and power even over death. We need to cultivate a clear conscience that God knows what He is doing and that everything that happens in our lives is for our good.

God never does things without a purpose and we have to mark that in our lives. God loves us as it says here that Jesus loved Martha, Mary and Lazarus. Let us never doubt His love.

In our last segment we were talking about the sometimes mysterious way God chooses to answer our prayers. I said that many times we have a great need in our life and we have a very clear idea at times, very defined of when we want God to respond to our needs and to solve our crises, and the Lord often decides to respond in very complex ways. and very different from what we think His way of responding should be.

And we always see that in this case, for example, God has a purpose, a plan. The Bible says that all things work together for good to those who love God. Many times in our life God decides to respond with a negative. Sometimes he decides to respond with a loss and sometimes we have had illusions of something we wanted to do.

We wanted to marry that person who seemed to fill all of our needs and did not give. A job that seemed to be the exact one for our lives did not happen either. A financial loss that left us at zero and we had to start building our lives again. A disease that robs us of the vitality of youth. An accident that totally changes the course of our life. And we ask ourselves many times, where is God in all that? Where are His promises, His faithfulness, where is His love that is supposedly so invincible in our lives?

In this case, I wonder if Martha and Mary had no doubts about Jesus, His love, His power when the Lord decides to stay two more days after they send him this urgent message "come and help us, Lazarus is dying." And the quiet Lord stays there for two more days taking a vacation and waiting for the tragic moment that these two sisters are experiencing to season and mature well.

But we see that there is a purpose in it. God never does things without a purpose and we have to mark that in our lives. God loves us as it says here that Jesus loved Martha, Mary and Lazarus. Let us never doubt His love. God has power; Let us never doubt His power. What God is is complex and He sometimes has plans for us that are much better than sometimes the plans we have for ourselves.

And sometimes frankly what we thought was a loss turns out to be the platform for an incredible blessing. And many times what we consider a loss that here on Earth we will never know that it was not a loss, when we get to heaven we will see for example that that job that we thought wow !, is the perfect job for my life, it turns out that perhaps it was, If we had had it, it would have been the platform for the destruction of our life, the loss of our marriage or our health, or that person with whom we thought we were going to be happy and who fulfilled all our requirements might not have been the husband, the wife that we thought she was going to be.

And God had a better plan for us. And that person who maybe wasn't our first choice and we ended up marrying turns out to be exactly what he was for our good. That is why we cannot hinder God, we cannot force Him to do what we want Him to do.

I believe that the primary card that the Christian plays with respect to God and his responses is to believe that God is sovereign, that He knows what He is doing, and that even if it does not seem that He is doing what He has promised to do, we have to trust. We have to say: Lord, Your Will be done and not mine. You know what is best for me, although it is not what I think has to happen, but I am going to trust that you know what is best.

And in this case we see that the Lord by stopping His arrival was preparing something much more sublime for Lazarus, Martha and Mary. What? That today still 2,000 years later there is talk of that wonderful miracle. Lázaro, Marta and María never imagined that they would become three characters loved and revered, and celebrated for countless generations through the centuries for that miracle. Look at us today in the 21st century talking about Marta, María and Lázaro. And that one of the greatest miracles that the Lord did in his earthly career was they the platform for that great display of the Glory of Jesus and His deity, and His power even over death.

God used Martha, Mary, and Lazarus as vessels of glory and honor for his Son. I am sure that if they had understood what was the end that God had destined for them they would have said Amen Lord do it, no, no problem. Because in the long run the love of God was going to be manifested.

I believe brothers that we have to cultivate that absolutely clear conscience that we have a God who is not mistaken. Everything that happens in our life, green, yellow, red lights as we said or no light, behind that there is a God who knows what He is doing. He has his recipes for every meal that he serves us and even if it is a little bitter, a little salty or tasteless, tasteless it does not matter, the Lord knows that it is for our good.

Sometimes God gives us a tremendous delicacy on the table, sometimes He gives us manna, a simple meal. Sometimes he does not put anything on the table and simply by faith we have to receive his support but whatever it is, it is the best for our lives. What God chooses is always the best for our lives. What God chooses is always the best and we have to believe that, we have to cling to it, we have to celebrate it by faith and always say: Lord, Your Will always be done because Your Will is much better than mine.

May God bless you and we continue to mine and learn from this wonderful passage. Your friend and brother in Christ Jesus, Pastor Roberto Miranda, says goodbye to you, God bless you.
