They also encourage readers to take on the armor of faith described in Ephesians 6.14-18. The article concludes with a passage from Romans 5.21-6.4, encouraging readers to meditate on it and use their free will for the glory of God.

10 years ago my husband came to the gospel, he smoked 2.5 boxes of cigarettes a day and drank alcoholic beverages, his other vice was to work hard to earn money. For 15 years I fought to stop smoking and The drink and I never had results, but God put him in a situation that he had to come to his feet broken and humiliated. In this way he had a genuine encounter with our Lord.

My husband lit a cigarette one day and suddenly he was paralyzed, he put it out and said: - For Christ's sake I don't smoke anymore, 10 years ago of this and he has emerged victorious from the test, because he exercised “Free will” in a positive way.

Free will means submitting our will to the will of God, in this way temptations can come to our life "But God is faithful, and he will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear." 1 Corinthians 10:13

We say we want to submit to God, perhaps we stuff ourselves with readings, uplifting Christian music, movies and thousands of accessories through which we feel strengthened. But most of the time, we only fill our intellect, because our spirit is not in tune with it. It is then that we verify that they have not taken effect and we fall again and again, because we do not know how to use free will effectively, we only use it for our delights and then we feel frustrated and as a friend said “With a bad taste in the mouth and a great emptiness in the soul ”.

The only formula that exists to be assertive and maintain a testimony worthy of a child of God, is to maintain full communion with the Father and for that we only need three things:

  1. A willing heart: Ez 11.19-21

  2. The word of God: Pr 4.20-27

  3. Prayer: Mt 21:22

Therefore, if we are going to wait on God, let it not remain at the level of the intellect, let it reach the spirit and take the armor of faith described in Ephesians 6.14-18

Finally, I leave you with a text from Romans 5.21-6.4, let's meditate on it and exercise our free will for the glory of God. What then shall we say? Will we persevere in sin so that grace may abound? No way. For we who have died to sin, how can we still live in him? Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into his death? Because we are buried together with him to death by him. baptism, so that as Christ rose from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in a new life.
