Summary: Faith is the belief or trust in something. We often put our faith in things like doctors, sculptures, and objects, but these are not the true God. We should not worship images or objects, but instead focus on the eternal and true God who created us. We need to choose life and define where we have deposited our faith, so that we can trust God to keep our deposit for that day.

When we say that we have faith, we are referring to that we believe or trust something in particular. Faith has many edges and does not always follow the correct path that leads to eternity. How many times when we go to a doctor for any ailment have we said: - "I have faith in Dr. X".

Our faith can be deposited in as many things, as our needs are, even in inanimate things like stones or metals. The architect makes a sculpture, gives it any name and we prostrate ourselves before it, we are so foolish that we give life in our fantastic imagination to objects made by human hands, ignoring that we cannot touch the eternal and true God.

We are tired of entering houses and when they close the door to see behind it clay pots with metallic things and stones with snails, all these things that God has created for our enjoyment, deformed by the hands of man, supposedly the supreme work of creation. .

The man has dedicated himself to disappoint throughout his life who created him, he has the total possibility of living the Holy Spirit of God in his life and chooses to touch a stone. In his eagerness to manipulate God, he believes that he can be locked in porcelain vessels. Our insecurity has no limits and runs amok, persevering in controlling your life and God included in it.

How can we choose to worship an image or an object rather than the true God? Foolish, insecure, clumsy, there is no word that defines our attitude before a God who reveals himself in his creation, our luck is that even so, that God loves us with a love that we can never understand and that waits for us one day. let us realize that He is all we need.

Through time, God is still there, we arrive, we go, but He remains unchanged, the images are broken, some are even repaired, but our God does not break, does not need repairs, He is the Owner, the Creator and our life rests in his hands. “Today I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; choose, then, life, so that you and your descendants may live; " Deut 30.19

These words still reach us today with overwhelming force. That is why we have to define in what we have deposited our faith, so that the night does not surprise us and we can say as the apostle said: “For which I also suffer this; but I am not ashamed, because I know who I have believed, and I am sure that he is able to keep my deposit for that day ”. 2 Tim 1.12
