Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him for His excellent greatness. — Psalms 150:2
Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. — Colossians 3:16

Summary: Beloved, in Christ Jesus, our worship has been perfected and spiritualized, making our very hearts the living sanctuary where God delights to dwell, freed from old forms. Let the Word of Christ dwell richly within us, for it is the grand instrument of this New Covenant symphony, saturating our thoughts and governing our affections. Our worship, then, becomes a Christ-centered, truth-filled, mutually edifying sacrifice of praise, genuinely sincere and flowing from hearts controlled by the Holy Spirit.
Beloved brethren, cast your minds back to ancient days! Picture the grand temple, the smoke of sacrifice, the clang of cymbals, the blast of trumpets – a magnificent pageant, surely, but a shadow, a whisper of what was to come! For in Christ Jesus, our glorious Redeemer, worship has been transformed, elevated, perfected! No longer are we tied to brick and mortar, to a sacred plot in Jerusalem. No, friends, your very heart, your very gathering, becomes the living sanctuary where the Spirit of the Most High delights to dwell! What a privilege!
The old forms, with their elaborate instruments and physical offerings, served their purpose well, pointing forward to the Lamb of God. But to cling to them now would be to deny the finished work of our Lord! He has perfectly fulfilled all; His sacrifice is eternal. Our worship, then, is radically spiritual, a symphony of the soul!
What, then, is the grand instrument of this New Covenant symphony? It is the Word of Christ! Oh, let it not be a mere acquaintance, a casual visitor to your mind! No, let it dwell *richly*, abundantly, comprehensively within your very being! The teachings of Jesus, the life-transforming Gospel, the whole of Holy Writ — let it saturate your thoughts, govern your affections, direct your every step. And not just you alone, precious saint, but *us* together! When the Word fills our community, it overflows into glorious, mutual ministry.
When we raise our voices in song, it is not merely a tune for the ear, but a truth for the soul! We are not simply expressing emotion; we are teaching, admonishing, building one another up in all wisdom! Every hymn, every spiritual song, should be a sermon sung, saturated with sound doctrine, magnifying Christ! Your lips, consecrated by His grace, now offer a "sacrifice of praise"—the precious fruit of souls confessing His name! No longer a specialized priesthood, but *all* of us, redeemed and royal, singing as one united voice!
Even the universe, in its silent grandeur, echoes God's perfect design. But *we*, beloved, with voices tuned by grace, translate creation's silent glory into articulate praise, bringing heaven and earth into resonant harmony! So let our worship be Christ-centered, truth-filled, mutually edifying, and above all, genuinely sincere, flowing from hearts steeped in the Word and controlled by the Holy Spirit. This, my friends, is the rehearsal for the eternal chorus!
