Summary: Humility is a rare trait today, but Jesus lived a humble life and we should strive to do the same. Humility means recognizing our weaknesses and serving others. Jesus washed the feet of those who would later betray and deny Him, showing His willingness to love them despite their actions. Every time we do good for someone, we are washing their feet. We should follow Jesus' example and serve others humbly.

Humility is a very rare word today, but the practice of it is rarer. For some, humbling oneself is a shameful word. However, we recognize that Jesus lived a life of humility, no one doubts this; We also recognize that we want to be equal to Him , we all know that this is a great challenge because we recognize that He is perfect.

In our acknowledgments, it is difficult for us to come to recognize how weak we are, how incapable we are to recognize that we need a lot of help, all the help in the world and that only Jesus can give. Recognizing our disabilities is more than exalting our capacities because if God glorified himself in them, it would not be glory, He glorifies himself in our weaknesses and being humble is not our strength.

Something we have to recognize is that a life of humility has to be a life of Service. According to Mark 10 42-45 Jesus was making it clear that our life had not been given to us so that others could serve us, but to live serving others, only in this act of service could we magnify ourselves and to become the first in the kingdom, we should be slaves of all, because He, who was Lord, humbled himself as far as none of us are going to go, because we do not have a soul like his.

Christ was able to take our yoke upon Him so that we could imitate Him and be able to help others to carry theirs (Matthew 11:29), meekly and humbly. How sweet is the rest after so much fatigue.

For this it is necessary to live washing feet. It is pleasant to wash the feet of those we love. But washing the feet of those who hurt us, that's something else! But Jesus washed feet.

Jesus not only washed the feet of John, the beloved disciple.

Jesus washed the feet that were going to run to deliver him.

Jesus washed the feet that were to flee from the Roman fury.

Jesus washed the feet of the one who was going to deny Him 3 times

Would you have washed those feet even knowing what they were going to do? Jesus did not care, He wanted them to know His willingness to love, despite them, He was willing to love them and He was making it very clear to them.

They would hurt her heart, He gave them a show of love and humility. Jesus washes our feet. We crucify him with our actions.

Remember this, every time you do someone good, you are washing their feet. So take off your cloak, wrap your towel around, put water in your basin, there is enough work. Recognize that if the King of the Universe could, you are not greater than Him.
