How to Persuade God

I come with a vision of revival, when I arrive at this place I see that this is only preparatory, this building is too small for you, the one next to it will be too small for you, what God has will overcome, I see homes burned by love of God, homes where the revival spreads because they do not reach the local buildings, I see it, I feel the same as my father felt in his church before the revival came in the city of La Plata.

The he began to preach, he began to announce, and I told him get ready, we were about three hundred members, it was the largest church in the city, and my father told us, get ready church, an avalanche of people is coming, and if you are not ready, those people he will take the ministry and take you out of the seat, it seemed like a threat more than a prophecy, ten years he was announcing a revival that would come, only he saw it.

I remember as a teenager sitting there in the pews and thinking what an optimistic father I have, this man is so positive, but I didn't understand that this man was speaking a prophetic word that revival is coming, revival is coming to Boston, revival is coming. a revival of the Holy Spirit to your home, to this church, to the connected churches, it comes, it comes, it comes. And it was in March 1984 that the campaigns began and people began to come. First day there were one hundred and fifty people, but as the days passed there were hundreds, and then thousands, people from a nearby hospital heard the word of God, they He would sit, change his clothes and come to church to convert. How many say yes amen, for God there is nothing impossible.

And in that revival in Argentina it spread throughout the country, it is estimated that some two million people came to Christ, and we who God gave us the call to come to be, to settle in the United States, I want to tell you that my My greatest passion is to see revival in the United States of America, God has not finished in this nation, I know that we are in very vulnerable, very dangerous moments, but there are two factors that tell me that there may still be a great move of God along the coast off the coast in the United States, the first of them is, there is the church of Jesus Christ, and from what I see it is very much alive, it is very difficult to fall asleep while praise is here, how many know that, if one wants to stay still, it is already His arms move by themselves, one wants to stay still and his arms move, one tells his feet to stay still and he's already dancing, because there is joy, joy, there is the spirit of freedom in this place, the church of Jesus Christ is already here and many others, but there is a second factor, and that completes the hope of a revival, is that the Holy Spirit is moving over the church, and where there is a church, and where there is the Holy Spirit, there is hope of a great move of God in all the city, and throughout the country, how many say I believe it, I receive it, revival is coming, amen.

I was amazed when this young woman sang that song with the entire praise team with what they called, snatching, I said but how but if I didn't show her the sermon notes, how do these people know, how was this here, God has precious things, you go to snatch things that you wouldn't dream of, while we were adoring the Lord, every time one worships the Lord and enters his presence something happens, we never stay the same, but you know what I felt there prophetically on my bench, that many didn't even realize it but God was telling me while they are worshiping me I am acting in their homes and in their families. Something glorious is happening, some are going to meet again with surprises from heaven.

There are people here who, when they have closed the door of their house to come here, have left pain behind that door, have left a trauma, have left a question mark, how many know that there are things that get out of hand, How many know that nothing escapes Him, and perhaps you left a family suffering, perhaps you have separated children, perhaps you have people in your family who are on drugs, who are lost, perhaps you don't even know how to pray anymore, perhaps you even got tired to pray, but today we are going to unleash our faith. One of my sons who has a very particular way of speaking tells me, dad, we have to have monster faith. so good A faith so great that it is monstrous, how many want to have a giant faith. And I pray to heaven that while we preach a baptism of faith falls in your life. Always in every situation there is a heavenly vision, always. Let's open our bibles quickly to Matthew, chapter 15, Matthew 15. I want to talk about how to convince, how to persuade God, for a miracle and a revival. Someone will say pastor, as one is going to try to persuade God, God knows everything, knows what he is going to do, listens. We do not serve a God who is an electric cloud, we do not serve a God who does not listen or dialogue, we serve a God who listens to the prayers of his people. If you don't believe you can change the sky, what are you praying for? If you do not believe that your prayers can affect and make the arm of God move, what are we praying for then? God wants to make you a persuader. As you open your bible, William Bud, the founder of the Salvation Army, received a telegram from two of his captains who were in Wellington, New Zealand. The telegram was a sad telegram after many months of trying, the work of the Salvation Army had failed, and they ask, they send the telegram saying, we ask for permission to close the work in New Zealand.

This captain of the Salvation Army sends them a telegram, one of the shortest in history. This telegram had a few words that said try the tears, nothing more than that, try the tears, and they did. This time they were no longer praying to see if God would do something or not, they were already praying with tears, they were praying with passion, and revival broke out in New Zealand. Something like a month ago I was visiting that nation, and right in the city of Wellington they invited me to participate in a prayer breakfast in parliament, and when I see those uniformed captains there from the Salvation Army I asked my pastor friend how he was doing denomination here and tells me, full of fire. I couldn't believe that I don't know how many years have passed, I think one hundred and fifty years have passed, and they still have the flame, because there were two captains who wept before God and God gave them revival.

What you do today in the presence of the Lord will mark generations until Christ comes. What you do today your prayer, your fervor, your passion, does not stop here, while we are here God has all the power to do so (snap of fingers), and dispatch thousands of angels to go to all our homes, to our relatives, to the unconverted, to prodigal sons and daughters, how many say yes amen. How to persuade God for a miracle, but pastor before you preach this to me, will it be biblical? Look, I know of a man who stood before God, God told him get away, step aside, I'm going to destroy this nation, and that man stood up and told him don't destroy them, better get me out of the book of life, that man changed the history of a million people in a moment in the presence of the Lord. There are people who have stood before God and God for those people said it's okay I'm not going to destroy, listen, how much strength would Moses have, how tall would Moses be, did he have so many muscles, what could stop the power of God? However, God tells him to move, as if he needed permission, I am going to destroy, I am going to bring the punishment that this city deserves, I am going to bring disaster, the judgment that this nation deserves, but the church knows very well that it is learning how to persuade to heaven so that God refrains from using his judgment and uses his mercy, how many believe that God can do it. Some will say but what if God is good because he doesn't do it anyway, he doesn't listen, prayer is put on a scale that satisfies God's justice. That's why we have to ask, that's why we beg.

You know why I pray, even having walked so many years before God, because I know that what I am going to ask of him I do not deserve, nor do the people for whom I am asking it, I do not deserve it but apply mercy, do not apply judgment , do not even apply justice because we could not resist it, apply mercy in this nation, these are the people who can change the country, these are people who can change entire nations, how many say yes, amen to this.

God is looking for persuaders, he says I looked for a person who would stand in the gap so I wouldn't have to destroy this town. How many want to stand in that key place and say Lord, my family is not all well, but I ask you have mercy, I have not abandoned them, I continue to cover them in prayer, I intercede for them until You extend mercy and save them all . How many say yes amen, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you and your house will be saved, if God gives you faith for a nation he has to give you faith for a family, how many say yes amen.

Look, one of the characters that most impacts me in the Bible is a woman. A woman who was strange, a woman who was a stranger to God's people, but this woman managed to persuade Jesus. Matthew chapter 15 verse 21 to 28, I read one verse, we all read the next one aloud like this in antiphonal form. I read 21: "Leaving Jesus from there, he went to the region of Tire and Sidon", listen, that was not a region of ministry, that was not a region of miracles for Jesus, it was not the holy region where he focused his ministry primary, he withdrew other gospels say to be alone with his disciples, we are going to read verse 22 aloud together, "And behold, a Canaanite woman who had come out of that region cried out saying to him: Lord, have mercy on me, "My daughter is seriously tormented by a demon. But Jesus did not answer her a word. Then his disciples approached and begged him, saying send her away, for she cries out after us. He answered and said, I am not sent but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

Only on the cross was Jesus going to bring everyone to himself, and his worldwide ministry was going to be completed, but at this moment Jesus was focused on the Israelites, verse 25 we read aloud, "then she came and fell down before him." saying, Lord, help me!" Say with me but with passion, Lord, help me! Say it one more time and with faith, Lord, help me! God is listening to this, God is listening to this, thank you Jesus.

"Responding He said: it is not good to take the children's bread and throw it" to whom?, "to the little dogs". Look, if we had experienced that response, how many would have slammed the door and left, how many would have said I am going to another religion, I am going to another church, and to this teacher, this is not for me. Many give up, many abandon the search because they did not learn, like this woman, to be persuaders of God. Many would have been offended, we read verse 27 all together: "and she said, yes Lord, but even the little dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table. Then Jesus answered and said: O woman, great is your faith, be done with you as you wish, and her daughter was healed from that hour". That's power. Listen, the daughter wasn't even there. The daughter was left behind the door of the house tormented by demons. Daughter, stay here, I have something to do, look sometimes you have to leave the problem and go to the presence. If you focus on the problem, many times we wear ourselves out on the problem, there are times when you have to say, I won't abandon it but I'll leave this to focus on the one who has the solution.

Someone said don't pray the problem, pray the solution. Don't be reviewing the failures, the pains, it's okay to lament, how many know that it's biblical to lament, look, there's even a book in the bible called Lamentations, the problem is if twenty years later you're still lamenting and you never got to the gospels You never got to the testimony. Lament, cry, empty yourself of that pain, leave it at the foot of the cross and then tell Him Lord, now I need the miracle, now I need the testimony, I am not going to spend my whole life lamenting, I need your power, I need revival, I need the miracle. His daughter was healed from that very hour, my father was a man who preached with such faith, and he many times, he did not want his sermons to be interrupted but there were people who fell, people who screamed, sometimes from the steps of the building, the people began to shout because a son was being healed right there, something had happened and the shouting began to happen, and after a while we continued with the preaching, because my father also had the faith that as long as the word is preached miracles can occur, while Peter preached the people were filled with the Holy Spirit, hallelujah.

Five barriers that we have to break in order to persuade God to perform the miracle. First, break the barrier of indifference. Break that barrier. This woman broke her why, there was pain. You know that we can capitalize on pain, on suffering. Some will say I'm not in that much pain but listen, there's plenty of pain. This city has pain to spare. There is other pain. And you can take that pain and make your heart burn with passion. Some never affirm themselves in Christianity, until they go through moments of pain or see someone close to them go through a moment of pain. I don't wish it on you, we pray against it, but listen, God can use your moment of pain to awaken your passion. This woman didn't say Jesus son of David, if you want do something with me, and if it's not right, no problem, I'm going home to watch television. It will be or will it not be. Some have that philosophy. What will be, will be. They get into the hands of chance. They put themselves in the hands of fate. What do you think if we put ourselves in God's hands. So that He does as He wants in our lives but we are going to pray to Him.

Break the barrier of indifference. We were in Cuba, I asked that nineteen-year-old pastor, how many people are in your church, he told me seven hundred, and I noticed that we were in the pastoral house, which was a single room, there was no car, there was no vehicle, there weren't even Not even a bicycle, I also noticed that next to the pastoral house or the pastoral church, there was a small temple and I told him how do you manage to put so many people here, pastor told me tonight when you come to preach you will see it. When I made the call to receive holiness, I will never forget, I almost stopped ministering, because there were hundreds of people there packed inside, glued together, and they put their hands through the bars of the windows, I also want to receive holiness, that is passion, passion , passion.

My friend Harold Caballeros from Guatemala City, I asked him how do you put a hundred people in a home if you don't have many houses, they are so small, he tells me our brothers make a contract with the neighbor, and the day they are going to have home gathering they take out the dining room table, they take out the chairs, they empty the whole house as much as they can, and there they fill the house so that they receive the message. I was also in another place in Havana, Cuba, they took me to a building, I began to eat with a very small group of leaders, but there they told me that hundreds of people met there, the place was so small, so my curiosity I asked him how they do it?, and he said look, come here pastor, stand here, and they stopped me in a fair place and he told me, look, from here you can see the kitchen, from here you can see it from the rooms, here you can see the backyard, and here you can see the street, they opened a window, and he says, sometimes there are a hundred people or more inside, but there are hundreds of people outside, and I asked him how do you do it, because when they start to sing, and I noticed that they were very fiery, and he says we had a problem, but now all the floors are believers, the whole building has been converted. Hallelujah, passion, passion, passion, give God what He gave you in your hand.

Second, it breaks the barrier of silence. Many turn away from the gospel because they say God did not speak to me, God did not answer me. Well, I tell you this woman, Jesus answered her with fffff, silence, like a disconnected phone. Some cannot bear the silence of heaven and leave, believing that the dialogue is over. When you hear silence in heaven, don't let silence be made on earth. Lord, I notice you are very quiet, but I know that you are going to answer me. There was a silence in heaven when I asked him Father, save my atheist uncle, save him, you sent me to pray for him one year, two years, five years, my youth was passing, and I kept praying for my uncle, to to convert, and there were voices telling me you're crazy, you're wasting years, he's not going to convert, but I said God sent me to convert him, I said Father Father save him, my uncle was a militant atheist, and he told me Father and I, the day we come to power in Argentina, we are going to take care of you, he had already threatened us with persecution, he made fun of the pastors, his jokes were against the churches.

I thought this blasphemer is not going to convert anymore. But you know what I thought was wrong. Don't say who will go up or who will go down. That belongs to God. Judgment comes from God, your job and my job is to bring as many people as we can into the kingdom of heaven.

Twenty-three years later, some will say why pastor, because my faith was like a worm's gallop, it went up and down, up and down, if I had had an intense faith like this woman's I would have achieved it sooner, I think. But there I was, I was praying a week before, and I remembered, the Holy Spirit reminded me, keep praying for your atheist uncle, twenty-three years later I'm preaching in Costa Rica and I receive a call from my mother, she tells me, you don't know who he turned. You know I answered you, that's why it took me so long I think, I have no idea. Twenty-three years of praying and I say I have no idea. Ask Lord, increase my faith. Sometimes we have faith that is pitiful. Poor little faith. And even with those crumbs, with that little bit, God can do something. He tells me your uncle converted. When my uncle passed away, he passed away with an intercessor at his right hand, and a prophet at his left hand. He opened his eyes and left in peace. I didn't arrive for the wake, I couldn't give him that final hug, but it doesn't matter, we're going to spend millions of years in heaven, I'm going to give him a big hug.

Break the barrier of silence, break it. Jesus did not answer her a word, but this woman did not leave, this woman did not exhaust herself, perhaps you are going through the silence of God, break that barrier, break it with praise, break it saying Lord I know you are, you are testing me, but I want to pass the exam and I want to graduate, I want to persuade you, I am asking you for something according to your will, this is not to force God's arm, and ask him for any whim, we are going to ask what we know is God's will, how many say amen

Third, it breaks the barrier of rejection. The disciples themselves approached, Lord, throw her out, send her away, because this woman is screaming, the one who said I am not sent but the lost sheep to the house of Israel, I have nothing to do with this woman, I cannot attend to her, so imagine a church where the ushers are asking the pastor, pastor we can take this woman out because she is disturbing, let her leave, imagine how you would feel, she did not have a folder, a red welcome carpet, however this woman had something in her, look, as time passes I want to be more simple with the gospel, more like a child, believe God more, and in these years that we began to live that simplicity of the gospel, it is when we live the most spectacular testimonies , listen, break the barrier of rejection, apparently the Lord was saying it, I am not sent but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, I believe that Jesus acted like that, but his heart was beating faster and faster, we are in a try this and testing if this is curiosity, or if this is faith, your faith is going through the fire, do not stop because what you come looking for you will receive.

Look, I went to Argentina, I was there in La Plata ministering, and this lady, like a Canaanite woman, came to one of our meetings, she was new, God had saved her from death, advanced cancer, it left her body, and She came and brought a handkerchief, and with two ministers we prayed, and she took it, but she says that when she grabbed the handkerchief her hands burned, and she didn't know what to do, and she put it in her bag, and she forgot it in the bag. portfolio, a few weeks later they invite her from Buenos Aires, they tell her look, your nephew is dying, they gave him fourteen days, the doctors gave him the maximum, they already removed all the cables, because he had advanced laryngeal cancer, and they told him there is no more nothing else to do, they didn't even give him intravenous fluid, he might die at any moment, and when this woman goes, she talks to her dying nephew and says look, the shepherds have prayed for this handkerchief, and I want to use it to pray for you, Do you know what this young man said in a dying voice? I don't believe in that, I don't want him to pray to me, very well. No, do you know what those two believing sisters did? They waited for him to fall asleep.

The aunt instead of being offended ah, I took the scarf to the other side, she stayed, waited for the moment, and when she fell asleep, she told me, they lifted the sheet and put the scarf on her feet, I still don't know why they put it on her the handkerchief on his feet and not on his throat, two weeks later, time to die, the young man had already been healed and was playing soccer in the streets of Buenos Aires, not only that, the other week he left alone to a church and converted.

Break the barrier of rejection. Some were rejected by their father, mother, some were betrayed by friends, and when they hear something that seems like their faith is fading, don't give up, get up in faith because God has something great not only for this church, for your life . Fourth, break the barrier of offense. This is deeper still. Because when she came to Jesus He told her it is not right to take out the delicacies, the miracles, the things that I bring for Israel and throw her to the dogs. Say with me wow, how strong, shff. When Jesus tests your faith he tests it. You have to break the barrier of offense.

I was in a stadium in Cincinnati. My friend Claudio Frayson had reserved a seat for me, he was full of the anointing, I was five below zero with the anointing, frozen, I had nothing, I was depressed. And I looked for him, I called him, where are you going to be, I want you to pray for me, I'm going to be in a stadium, an evangelist is coming, you can reserve a seat for me, I can't even get into the front row, he reserved my seat, I sit there, a minute before the start of the meeting, a very big, tall usher comes, he stands right in front of me, there were twenty thousand people there, he stands right in front of me, and he tells me that seat is reserved for someone else . I took my seat, held on and began to pray silently, Lord, don't take me out of here, You know I traveled all the way here. But the usher was not moved, I thought the usher was going to start crying, he was standing like that, and when he saw that I was not moving, he told me in a louder voice, you have to get out of this place because that place is reserved.

Once again you know that you cannot disobey, I was not disobeying, I was procrastinating, I was postponing. I already knew that I had to leave at any moment, and I held on to the seat and a missionary got up, thank God for the missionaries, he was in the third row behind me, he knew me, he got up and spoke very loudly to the usher and said look, this pastor was never in these meetings, please leave him, I give up my seat to the person, and he gave up his seat and went, you know where?, outside the stadium, there was no more space, there were thousands of people outside, until today I say thank you Lord for the missionaries, and you know that I stayed there, at the end of the meeting I put my hands like this and say Claudio, pray for me, not here, wait for me, I have dinner with the evangelist but if the meeting is canceled meeting I'll be back Look, how?, okay, I stayed, with the Bible under my arm, walking in front of the platform, so much time passed that the stadium emptied, people were already coming to clean the place, and I said I'm the only one stupid that I believed in this, now my friend is surely having dinner, enjoying a dinner, and I am here waiting for him to pray for me, I have to go, I can't go, I have to go, I can't go, whenever you go to receive a miracle there is a struggle.

About ten minutes later he appeared, about two hours had passed, fifteen, I don't know how long, my friend comes and tells me we're going to have dinner, look I didn't want to have dinner, he wanted me to pray, but even if he had told me we're going to play tennis I would have gone, whatever, just pray for me. We went to dinner, and he kept telling me about the anointing in Argentina, about the miracles, and he told me more, I got more desperate, and tried to hide it in the restaurant because we were eating dinner, we finished dinner, we ordered coffee, dessert, and I couldn't take it anymore, I stop at the restaurant, and I tell him, please pray for me now, and he says no after dessert, we're going to pray at the hotel, look, it was like one o'clock Tomorrow, I still remember that walk to the hotel, and we went, we got to his room, he starts showing me videos, things about the campaigns, he tells me no, you don't know what is happening, and I was already desperate, and I told him Claudio prays for me, and you know what he told me, come to one of my crusades in Argentina, and we were in Cincinnati, Ohio, and I told him I can't wait.

God was using this man, years later God explained to me why he waited to give me the anointing, to minister to me, and prayed for me, the next day I began to notice that something was changing in my life, something had come, God he had given what he had asked for. Listen, you have to persuade heaven, if you are going to change your city for Christ, if you are going to change a family for Christ, you have to agree with God, and you do not give up until heaven opens up and there is an answer for your life. . Break the barrier of offense.

And finally, this is the most difficult, break the barrier of pride. Many have short-term faith. I heard the other day a young man who said well if God is going to make him come to me, I am here. There's a good chance you'll be waiting a hundred years for that answer. If my people humble themselves, that is the people that I am going to bless, says the Lord. Some are impatient, they say oh God did not answer me, God did not speak to me, God gave me something else, I did not want this, they do not agree with God, but she said verse 27, yes Lord, if you want to be a person powerful in Christ you have to learn to put those two words together, yes Lord.

There are others who believe but say no Lord. The words no and Lord should not go together. Yes sir. What you say is right. I don't deserve that you give me the delicacy from the table, but don't forget and there he humbled himself, that even the little dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' tables. The tables on that occasion were very small and the little dogs would sometimes come there to lick the crumbs. Those crumbs, she says, even if it is the crumbs, from there I receive my miracle, and she knows that Jesus told her, this is amazing, the Lord answers her, woman, great is your faith. The disciples will have given themselves a nudge and said, what did he say? Great is your faith, it cannot be. If he comes challenging us men of little faith, and we are in the Bible institute of Jesus. And this woman who knows nothing, understands nothing, she is not of our religion, she is not of our race, and she is in the wrong place and she comes and Jesus tells her oh woman, great is your faith. There are people who seem not, but yes. You're going to make it, you're going to make it. The gospel is not for the complicated. There are people who have become more complicated over the years and they are already angry, offended, proud, they leave, slam the door, there are people who change churches, it seems that they are spiritual tourists, from one place to another, they did not like it this sermon, they already have the address of the next church they are going to go to, and I tell you in the name of Jesus, take root where God planted you, until your tree bears fruit, hallelujah, hallelujah!

And today I begin your healing of your depression. And some time later he spoke to me again and told me my son, I have already completed your healing, and I am going to use you to heal the brokenhearted. Brothers, we have seen people with panic attacks who broke free. People with suicide plans and tools that broke free. Depressed people for years released, healed. I want those struggling with depression to raise both hands now because the Lord has plans to heal.
