God can change any situation

SUMMARY: In 2 Kings 2:19-22, the people of Jericho had a problem with their water being contaminated and causing infertility and death. Despite worshiping the pagan god Baal, they could not solve the problem. Elisha, a prophet of God, was able to heal the water by pouring salt into it and proclaiming the word of the Lord. The passage reminds us that God can change any situation, no matter how impossible it may seem, through his word. It also emphasizes the importance of obedience without question and identifying the root of the problem. The result of God's intervention is eternal and can bring life to our lives, no matter how long we have been dealing with a problem.

God can transform any situation, no matter how impossible it seems, and He does it to glorify Himself. We need to obey Him and give Him what He asks of us. We should not lose hope and trust that God will work in His time. We need to come to God and ask Him to change our situation, and be willing to give up what He asks of us. Through this, God will do miracles and be glorified in our lives.

If you can go with me to the Second Book of Kings, chapter 2 verses 19 to 22. We're going to be looking at four verses tonight. Second Kings chapter 2 verses from 19 to 22. The Word of God says: 'And the men of the city said to Elisha "Here is the place where this city is located, it is good, as my Lord sees. But the waters are bad and the land is barren.

Then he said 'Bring me a new vessel and put salt in it'. And they brought it to them. And going out to the springs of the waters, he poured in the salt and said thus has the Lord said: 'I healed these waters and there will be no more death or disease in them.' And the waters were healed until today according to the word that Elisha spoke." These are four apparently very simple verses that recount one of the miracles that Elisha performed after Elijah had departed from within his presence.
